Natalia Nykiel, Miuosh, Mela Koteluk, Fisz Emade Tworzywo or Renata Przemyk – these are some of the artists that will play in Krakow on 22 June during this year’s Wianki – Music Festival. The three stages located on the Market Square, Powiśle district and the Nowa Huta Culture Center will host leading artists of the Polish music scene.

The event will take place for the sixth time in a formula inspired by the French event “Fête de la Musique”. Wianki not only presents music in many parts of the city of Kraków, but also puts particular effort on the diversity of artists, so to reflect the current state of the Polish music scene. As every year, also this time all events related to the Wianki – Music Festival will be free and open to everyone.

This year’s Wianki will host leading representatives of various music genres. Hip-hop will be represented by the rapper form Katowice – Miuosh, known not only for his solo work, but also thanks to the surprising cooperation with, among others, Jimek and Smolik. Wianki will also host Fisz Emade Tworzywo – musicians who started from hip-hop and were changing faces from one album to another. Their album “Radar” released in March this year surprises with the sounds of the 1980s and references to disco style. In turn, the electropop and dance aesthetics will be represented by Natalia Nykiel and the producer duo Flirtini supported by leading Polish singers and vocalists of the young generation, such as Rosalie, Piotr Zioła, Michał Sobierajski, Ras, Lena and Gverilla.

This year’s Wianki will also welcome a strong representation of female voices. Barbara Wrońska, known among others from the Ballady and Romanse duo or the Pustki band; Misia Furtak, who presented this year her first full-size solo album, as well as Mela Koteluk, awarded the Fryderyk prize for her last album “Migawka” and will present in Krakow her new material, will all perform on June 22. The program of this year’s Wianki also has a place for a true legend of the Polish music scene, i.e. Renata Przemyk!

Wianki in Krakow is also an opportunity to present local artists. The first of them is Sokół Orkestar, gaining more and more applause, which is a band founded by Przemek Sokół, who performs his original songs in the Balkan brass style. Other local performers who have already earned nationwide publicity are: the Krakow self-made man Patrick the Pan – composer, producer, songwriter, singer, pianist and guitarist released by the Kayax label and cooperating among others with Dawid Podsiadło, as well as Limboski: admirer of folk and blues, author of music and lyrics and amateur of analogue sound.
