11am – 4pm Kids in Kraków zone

Obstacle course, scaled-up jigsaw puzzles, painting on the grass…

Kids in Kraków welcomes all youngsters to a fun zone featuring an obstacle course where they can test their fitness and agility. They can also get to know the layout of the city by assembling a giant jigsaw depicting the map of Kraków. In the workshop zone, we’ll be painting… on the grass!

Hosted by Kids in Kraków (www.kids.inkrakow.pl)

11:00 a.m. – Musical inauguration: Bobobrzmienia

An interactive concert for kids and adults. Live music is interspersed with singing & movement games in a very light, children-friendly form. The Bobobrzmienia band consists of experienced artists who successfully convey their passion to the audience. Bobobrzmienia owe the diversity of their repertoire to their co-operation with a broad group of recognised musicians.

Host: Bobobrzmienia (http://bobobrzmienia.pl)

11.00 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 2.00 p.m. – With a heart towards the trees

We, people, continually destroy our planet. We cut trees and irreversibly ruin the nature around us. Trees are of multidimensional importance to us: they provide us with oxygen and firewood, give shade and are used for producing everyday items. During these workshops, children will learn why we need trees, how to recognise the age and type of a tree and what can be made of wood. They will also prepare a heart pattern on board, which they will “fill” with wooden slices and decorate.

Host: Eko-Chatka (https://eko-chatka.pl)

11.00 a.m., 12.00 p.m., 1.00 p.m., 2.00 p.m., 3.00 p.m. – Herb & vegetable gardens

During the workshops, small gardeners will become familiar with various kinds of herb seedlings and vegetables (we will talk about their use in the kitchen and their health benefits and bring up the topic of ecology and backyard gardens), prepare relevant plates with names of plants and then make plantings in buckets/jute bags.

12.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. – Trips to another planet

What can prove useful to us during a trip to another planet? Something is in the air? But what?! And who needs it? Fire or water? Are you able to predict the winner? Will you take up the Science Challenge?

Educators of the Cogiteon Malopolska Science Centre will present the most interesting experiments from their popular science shows. It will not work without your help! Let’s experiment together.

Host: Cogiteon Malopolska Science Centre (https://cogiteon.pl)

12.00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3.00 a.m. – Traces of nature

During the workshops, we will print traces of leaves on paper and on textiles. Every participant will decorate his own backpack with his own hands. Apart from backpack decoration plants, stamps and stencils of various shapes, brushes, painting rolls and textile markers will also be available.

Host: Creative Moments Studio (https://www.facebook.com/tworczemomenty/)

12.00 p.m. – 2.00 p.m. – See with touch

We know little about disability, also because we rarely think about it every day if it does not concern us in some way. The sensory workshops ‘See with touch’ will consist of practical exercises and simulations to strengthen attitudes of tolerance and acceptance and to reduce prejudices against recipients of culture with disabilities. The workshops will focus mainly on visual disability.

The program includes, e.g., sensory games, a visit to the world of blind people, blind people’s martial arts shows and an obstacle course with a white stick.

Host: WOMAI Kraków (http://womai.pl)

1.00 p.m. – Concert on ethical instruments

We set out on an unforgettable journey with rhythm, where each participant conveys his positive energy and is a performer and author of songs. The concert on ethical instruments will be followed by African drum workshops.

Host: Krystian Truchalski/Ibabu (https://krystiantruchalski.pl)

12.00 p.m., 1.30 p.m., 3.00 p.m. – Workshop with the fern flower (midsummer traditions)

A joint celebration of the victory of the Sun over the Moon and the beginning of summer. Abandon your laptops and smartphones for a while. Join the fun, look for the miraculous fern flower protected by forest creatures with us, feel the wind in your hair and take a short trip to old times to listen to magical stories. We guarantee fun and games, including the creation of amulets and rattles and a smile that will stay on your faces for a long time.

Host: Cel Edu (https://cel-edu.pl)

2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. – Whirling garlands from the future

In the past, garlands were woven of field flowers and herbs, but only until the invention of modern electronic devices using three-by-three and three-by-four weaving techniques. Today it takes only a drill, cardboard and a lot of paint to make beautiful garlands. Modern garlands are woven using whirling medleys of colours, which makes them unique, unpredictable and fabulously colourful. And what garlands will you create? Join our family workshops on 25th June! We will whirl, splash and forget ourselves in weaving the most wonderful artistic garlands from the future.

Host: Beata Kwiecińska and Maciej Dąbrowski, founders of INSPIRO
